What like to know what would be the best model for a study design where treatment groups are not independent (intra-subject comparison) and outcomes are measured repeatedly over time. In other words, this will be longitudinal data analysis taking into account correlation structure between observations. But in addition, treatment groups are also correlated. Would a transition model conditioning on past exposure (i.e, treatment group) be the best way to handle this study design?
