How to normalize a variable whose values range b/w 0 and 1?

I know it sounds weird, but this is the problem i m facing now i have a continuous variable whose values range b/w 0 and 1(the values are extremely small, with mean .0235 and standard deviation .0438). i want to normalize this, as this single variable is distorting my entire regression results. is there any way, other than log, to normalize this?
